We welcome you and your child to our family music classes.
Come see for yourself - - imagine what it is like to be your child
with wonderful sounds, interesting movements, instruments to play,
other children to watch, other parents to know, silly things to laugh at,
and most of all, music that he or she loves. Your child especially loves
being in class with YOU, holding, hugging, singing and making music with you.
During each term, classes are limited to 6-12 children with parents or caregivers. Mixed age groups enhance family-style learning. Activities are research-based, developmentally-appropriate, and support children in developing musical awareness
and ability. Ideas evolve from the children's world and daily lives.
Prior Registration is required.
Classes are offered as 8-week course, but not as drop-ins.

A Child's Work Is Play!
Children have an amazing ability to teach themselves through play.
We encourage you and your child to explore, play and discover in your own way,
and your own time, whether your child chooses to watch and study all that happens
in our musically-rich environment, to work on "receiving" and processing information, to play actively with you, to sing and dance freely, or to independently explore around the room. We honor each child's learning style and help you support your child's choices.
What You Nurture Grows
You are your child's most important teacher. We support and guide you in modelling and playing actively with your child in class. Each family who enrolls receives a CD, songbook and guide for music play at home. Music Together song collections change every season and include fun and simple, yet musically interesting songs, chants and playalongs with appeal to adults as well as children.
We encourage you to find daily rituals around waking, riding in the car, bedtime and bathtime, going to the store and to the park. Keep in mind how children thrive on silliness, spontaneity and repetition. Your patience, time and commitment will profoundly affect your child's musical development process.
May you discover many joys and benefits of family music playtime . . . together.
